I believe God has gifted me with abilities to simplify and break down processes (mostly of things that cause me stress) and make them easy, simple, efficient, and most on autopilot.

In our home, from groceries to Budgeting, all done once a month, on autopilot.

Welcome!!!!
WE DID ALL THIS FOR YOU! ♡

And here you are.

you! ♡

Would you teach them how to manage their finances and show them how to get out of the burden of their finances?

Guess what I said? Yep, I now have the website, the emails, and myself in a pickle with the ins and outs of the online world to follow thru with my obedience.

Would you teach them?

A random day, random to me, as I was having my quiet time with the Lord

I felt HE shared,

to confidently make financial decisions
together
as a couple.

Let's be good stewards of what we have!

I want to help you...

"Give yourself some grace.
For you, your marriage, and your children.
Take control of our money!!"

It was 2015, in our fifth year of marriage, never talked about joint finances BEFORE. With a $600 a month job. Almost $50k in credit card debt, including $19k to a friend.

It was doomsday of credit cards collections calls. They were non-stop, they were pushy, they were inconvenient.

You see, we weren’t really one.  Yes, he prayed, I prayed. He read the Bible, and I read the Bible. It was his money, and separate from that, it was hers-my money.

We didn’t stop to think:
Money is in EVERY marriage decision.

**********

We need to talk to God.

We prayed TOGETHER,
We asked God to rescue US!

God, here we are!
We brought this to ourselves.
Please help us!

And we praise God.

From Collections...

But God.

I kid you not, a year to the date of that night: my husband got a job.

But here’s is the climax of this story… before his 1st paycheck, he humbly said:

I don't want us to do this again.
I want us to be in the same page.
Make a budget, run those numbers,
Let's sit together and talk about our priorities.
Let it be OUR money!

I made ONE budget.
Our budget's selfie!
A picture of what was coming in and what was going out.

... To Homeowners.

By joining our finances we became a team, making things happen. No more air money talk.  A joint budget did something beyond our finances, It got into our prayer life, our fun times, our generosity,

I went from fear, shame, disappointment, to feeling very fulfilled.

Just four years after collections, we became homeowners.

**********

This pivotal moment, when joining our finances via a budget,  taught me that:

We were one budget away
from an unified marriage in all areas.

From money,
to plans,
To future.

And, you too,
You are ONE budget away from a unified marriage in all areas.
From money, to plans, to future.

One Budget
Unified   Marriage

LET'S WORK TOGETHER

  • To teach how to manage and take control of your family's finances,

  • To rescue by sharing the tools I learned while in the hell of debt and collections,

  • To help avoid my mistake of not knowing where did your money go.

This is my call:

MY WHY

In a Nutshell

Let’s Get to know each other

★Full disclosure, I am an accountant, and one of my talents is to simplify things. So don't think we have a boring and complicated budget. Our budget is one and done, no need to babysit or track every cent.

I like coffee (ugh, all moms, can you feel the cliche as you read that?) but i'm puertorricam, so i've been drinking coffee before it was trendy.

family:

At 28 I imagine myself at 55, a single missionary in Asia, and happy ever after.

More than a decade later, I’m now married to an American, have four live kids, one in heaven, a service dog, chickens, and bees, and live on a mini-farm with a barn.

Oh, yeah the top of the barn is called a Hayloft. Psst, that’s my secret room (did you see the movie War Room?), My Hayloft’s Inspiration -hence, the name of this site- is our Prayer Room on the barn’s 2nd floor.

Every January, my friends and I seek the Lord for a “Word for the Year”.

This year I got “Ministering to the Lord”.

I'm pondering on this book to learn more.

and a budget, gave us a really unified, same spirit,
 same mind, marriage,
in all areas of our life."

I’ll add here and there my go-to IP dinner recipes for every day last-minute-it’s-already-6 o’clock-kids are hungry, the husband is back from work warm semi-nutritious meal. All part of our (finally after 4 years of perfecting!!!) 2 months dinner meal plan rotation.

I’ll share as well faith memoirs. When I’m low in my ‘believing’, I remember. I remember what He did in the Old Testament. I remember what He did with the early Church. And, I’m old enough to say, I remember what He did in my life decades ago, or just yesterday. I want to be re-encouraged again with His works in my life. I hope they encourage you, too.

And with all my “heart and passion” and English as my second language, I will share the sad and the funny, the ridiculous and the obvious, the painful and the joys, of what I call my Money Memoirs. Just life!, that happens to have some money topic in it, but God. Yesssss, but God! He comes in and makes everything so interesting. Sometimes apparently inconvenient, but he does not waste a human struggle.

Come and listen… and let’s converse in the comments! I would love to hear from you. Do you have similar stories? Is there a “but God” in your life?

Tip: my blog posts will be a continuous overview of life stories that will bring a visual picture of that day’s money tip, money coaching, or disrupt a money misconception.
